Where may I find book reviews?
Search these databases to locate book reviews:
- ATLA Religion Database includes reviews of academic books about religion.
Hint: Type the book title in quotes, then limit your search to publication type "review."
- Academic Search Premier is a terrific place to locate reviews of academic and popular books on multidisciplinary topics.
Hint: Type the book title in quotes, then limit your search to publication type "book review."
- LexisNexis Academic is a great source for reviews published in newspapers.
Hint: In the "News" tab, change the default "Select Sources" on the drop-down menu to "Book, movie, music, play, and video reviews." Change the default date range, if needed.
- H-Net Reviews in the Humanities and Social Sciences includes internet reviews of recently published books.
- The International Bibliography of Book Reviews of Scholarly Literature in the Humanities and Social Sciences (IBR) provides an interdisciplinary and international bibliography of reviews, primarily from Europe and North America.
Hint: Type the book title in quotes in the box below "Review of."
