Is it possible to apply for a carrel in the Library for personal research use?

Carrel assignments are based upon your role at Harvard. Because the number of carrels available at our Library is quite small, assignments of them are limited to current doctoral students amd visiting scholars.

If either describes your status, then we can indeed sign you up for a carrel of your own. If not, you are still welcome to work at an unoccupied carrel, but you will not be able to store materials or books there when you are not using the space.
