I'd like to know more about the Harvard Divinity School shield.
It was designed by Pierre de Chaignon la Rose, who designed the shields of the graduate schools for the 1936 Harvard Tercentenary.
It’s covered in this article: Hammond, Mason. “A Harvard Armory: Part I,” Harvard Library Bulletin, volume XXIX, Number 3 (July 1981), p. 261-297.
Read the first couple of pages to get the background; the Divinity shield is described on p. 278/seq. 14243.
