I am a student at another university and want to read a rare book in your collection. May I visit?

Andover-Harvard Theological Library houses many rare, often unique, collections of documents and publications. Some materials are noncirculating and are restricted to use within our secure reading area. The library's circulation staff is happy to retrieve them upon request, Monday to Friday, 9 am-5 pm, excluding holidays.

Materials for use in the secure reading area are designated in the HOLLIS Catalog at these locations: R.B.R., Tracts, S.C.R., Safe, Special Collection, Brittle, Codman, Pamph., Sprague Pamph., Quarto Pamph., Channing Library, TSS, and Thesis. Please request these materials at the circulation desk.

For additional information, see the visitors page, the services for visitors page, and the directions page on our website.
