How to Export HOLLIS Classic Records to RefWorks

Direct Exporting HOLLIS Records to RefWorks

  • Search HOLLIS and select the record(s) you want to export to RefWorks. Do this by marking the box next to each item. When you are finished selecting records, click on Print/Save/Send.
  • Under "Record format" select Full (use with RefWorks), leave the other fields blank and click on Print/Save/Send.
  • Click on Export to RefWorks. This link automatically directs you to the RefWorks login screen. Once you have logged into your RefWorks account, your citations will be imported. Please note: your browser must accept pop-ups.

Importing HOLLIS Records as Text Files into RefWorks

  • Search HOLLIS and select the record(s) you want to export to RefWorks. Do this by marking the box next to each item. When you are finished selecting records, click on Print/Save/Send.
  • Under "Record format" select Full (use with RefWorks), leave the other fields blank and click on Print/Save/Send.
  • Click Print/Save Selected to save the displayed references on your computer as a .txt file (using your browser's File > Save As . . . option).
  • Login to RefWorks. Under the References menu select Import. Once you are in the import screen, select "ExLibris ALEPH" as the Import Filter/Data Source and then "HOLLIS Catalog (Full)" as the database. Using the browse menu, locate the .txt file you saved to your computer and click on Import.
